Ah yes, I'm back from a sleep over at Jor's. Oh yeah, there was this toy show thingy too! But Jor look so cute in his jammies!
Um...*ahem*...excuse me...
So anyhoo, I had an adventurous weekend attending the Antique Toys & Collectible show just outside of Chicago. It's about a 5 hour drive from my house so I shacked up at Jor's house Saturday night. I was a bit late due to traffic and rain and darkness. I hate driving in the rain at night!(again, thanks for the hospitality from you and your wife dude! Much appreciated!) Jor tried to seduce me by showing me his B movie collection. we ended up watching the Italian Star Wars rip off trilogy. Funny stuff! (btw-every robot has a red self-destruct button with a 70% chance of success ratio hidden somewhere on their person...or in plain sight.)
Sunday at the toy show we eventually hooked up with TCM Hitchhiker. We hit it off immediately! One cool dude let me tell ya! After a few hours of me being bug-eyed at all the over price vintage robots I settle on this repro wind up for $20.
TCM & Jor actually left empty handed (although TCM did go back to fix his jones [img]wink.gif[/img] )
The highlight of the day was the geek speak we overheard between two vendors in a booth.
"If the Beatles were Star War characters, which one would they be?"
"Well of course Ringo would be Darth Vader..."
"Dude you are so high! Ringo would not be Darth Vader!"
And so on...
BTW 2-Jor makes a FABULOUS omlette! [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]
